21 Days of Prayer + Fasting

The Vision

Submerge to Emerge is a 21-day journey of intentional prayer and fasting. It is designed to cultivate spiritual growth and maturity – being forever changed from the inside out – through surrendering your life to the process, saturating yourself in the presence and Word of God, and having your transformation permanently sealed by the Holy Spirit.

Whether you are new to fasting or experienced, you are invited to participate at a pace that honors both faith and wisdom. This journey is not about comparison, performance, or restriction. It is about being willing and obedient to trust God’s process.

Ways to Participate
  • Join in on the daily scripture readings.

  • Commit to setting and keeping intentional prayer times daily. Minimum 20 minutes total.

  • Follow the food and distraction guidelines as you are able. Use faith and wisdom.

  • Engage in weekly corporate prayer gatherings. This fast will include 6AM Prayer, Mondays – Saturdays, in person or via Zoom!

The Journey is beautiful when you know where you're headed and that you'll get there.
Week One : Surrendered

The journey starts here.

Clear space for God by surrendering habits, attitudes, and distractions. Expect resistance, but settle into simplicity. Surrender creates the space necessary for true transformation.

Week Two : Saturated

Conversion requires submersion.

Align your spirit to hear the Holy Spirit more clearly for the journey ahead. Sit in silence. Read slowly. Allow meditation to renew your thoughts and desires. Do not rush the process.

  • Replace Stimulation with Stillness 
Week Three : Sealed

Transformation requires saturation.

Walk forward with courage and renewed purpose–empowered by the Spirit. Don’t leave early. Stay faithful to the process. What cannot remain is being removed and replaced with what must. Live from your true identity as you emerge with lasting change.

The Guidelines

FOOD

Eat (Suggested Superfoods)
  • Leafy greens (spinach, kale, collards, arugula, Swiss chard)

  • Cruciferous vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower)

  • Berries (blueberries, strawberries, açaí, raspberries, goji, cranberries, blackberries)

  • Mushrooms

  • Avocado

  • Seaweed

  • Sweet potatoes

  • Quinoa, brown rice, oats

  • Legumes (lentils, peas, chickpeas, black beans)

  • Nuts & seeds (almonds, pistachios, walnuts, cashews, macadamia, pecans, Brazil, chia, flax, hemp)

  • Olive oil, coconut oil

  • Herbal teas, water, lemon water

Optional (If Needed)
  • Free-range eggs

  • Wild-caught salmon, mackerel, sardines

Avoid Completely
  • Sugar (including desserts & soda)

  • Refined, fried, and processed foods

  • Dairy

  • Fast food

  • Alcohol

  • Excess caffeine

DISTRACTIONS

Eliminate or Strictly Limit:
  • Social media

  • Entertainment (TV/streaming)

  • Non-essential phone use

  • News consumption

Ways to Participate
