21 Days of Prayer + Fasting

The Vision

Submerge to Emerge is a 21-day journey of intentional prayer and fasting. It is designed to cultivate spiritual growth and maturity – being forever changed from the inside out – through surrendering your life to the process, saturating yourself in the presence and Word of God, and having your transformation permanently sealed by the Holy Spirit.

Whether you are new to fasting or experienced, you are invited to participate at a pace that honors both faith and wisdom. This journey is not about comparison, performance, or restriction. It is about being willing and obedient to trust God’s process.

Matthew 13:5

Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth:

Ways to Participate
  • Join in on the daily scripture readings.

  • Commit to setting and keeping intentional prayer times daily. Minimum 20 minutes total.

  • Follow the food guidelines as you are able. Use faith and wisdom.

  • Engage in weekly corporate prayer gatherings. This fast will include 6AM Prayer, Mondays – Saturdays, in person or via Zoom!

The Journey is beautiful when you know where you're headed and that you'll get there.
Week One : Surrendered

The journey starts here.

Clear space for God by surrendering habits, attitudes, and distractions. Expect resistance, but settle into simplicity. Surrender creates the space necessary for true transformation.

Week Two : Saturated

Conversion requires submersion.

Align your spirit to hear the Holy Spirit more clearly for the journey ahead. Sit in silence. Read slowly. Allow meditation to renew your thoughts and desires. Do not rush the process.

Week Three : Sealed

Transformation requires saturation.

Walk forward with courage and renewed purpose–empowered by the Spirit. Don’t leave early. Stay faithful to the process. What cannot remain is being removed and replaced with what must. Live from your true identity as you emerge with lasting change.

The Guidelines

FOOD

Eat (Suggested Superfoods)
  • Fruits – Seeded Preferred

These can be fresh, frozen, dried or juiced.

  • Vegetables

These can be fresh, frozen, dried or juiced.

  • Select Whole Grains

These include amaranth, barley, brown rice, oats, quinoa, teff and wild rice.

  • Nuts & seeds (Includes butters)

These include almonds, pistachios, walnuts, cashews, macadamia, pecans, Brazil, chia seeds, flax, hemp, sesame seeds.

  • Legumes – Not Canned Preferred

These include lentils, peas, chickpeas, black beans, kidney beans, white beans, pinto beans.

  • Quality Oils

These include coconut oil, olive oil, avocado oil, grapeseed oil, hempseed oil and sesame oil.

  • Herbal teas, water, lemon water

One Day each Week
  • Fish – Wild-caught Preferred

Avoid Completely
  • Sugar (including desserts & soda)

  • Fried, refined, and processed foods

  • Dairy

  • Leavened bread

  • Fast food

  • Alcohol

  • Excess caffeine

Ways to Participate

Let us commit these 21 days to the Lord–believing for growth, clarity, and lasting transformation in our lives and in our church.
